Stuart Ludsin and several OSU colleagues received funding from the Ohio Board of Regents to improve our ability to quantify microcystin in fish tissue, as well as assess if microcystin concentrations in Lake Erie walleye and yellow perch pose a risk to human health.
Alex Kua received Grants-in-Aid of Research funding from Sigma Xi for 2015-2016. This funding will support his Honor’s thesis research, which is exploring the impact of climate change and hypoxia on the behavior of a Lake Tanganyika cichlid.
Katie Clemons successfully defended her senior Honors thesis, which was entitled “Effects of increased temperature and hypoxia on egg characteristics of Julidochromis ornatus”.
