AEL postdoc, Josh Stone recently published one of his dissertation chapters in the Journal of Experimental Marine Biology and Ecology. The article is titled "Influence of top-down control in the plankton food web on vertical carbon flux: A case study in the Chesapeake Bay
Neal Banaszak and Andrew Bade helped PIT tag juvenile muskies at the London State Fish Hatchery on September 12, 2017. These fish will be stocked in lakes and reservoirs statewide.
This past Saturday, September 16, the AEL hosted its annual pig roast. The event was held at Dr. Roy Stein's house on Hoover Reservoir. Josh Stone, the roast coordinator, cooked the pig to perfection. Everyone enjoyed the good company and great weather.
At the end of August 2017, Jim Hood, Susan Curless, and collaborators at Saint Catherine's University and the Icelandic Institute for Freshwater and Marine Fisheries measured primary production in Lagarflöt.
Andrew Bade gave a talk to the Columbus Sea Nags Scuba Diving Club on Sept. 7 at Planks' Cafe and Pizzeria. He presented on the use of acoustic telemetry to understand walleye movement in the Great Lakes.
