Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. Dr. Stuart Ludsin was honored with the Meritorious Service Award from the North Central Division of the American Fisheries Society at the Midwest Fish and Wildlife Conference in Fort Wayne, Indiana, January 25-28. The award recognizes extraordinary service to the American Fisheries Society by a division member. 

Thank you for your dedication, mentorship, and service throughout your career to the American Fisheries Society, North Central Division, Early Life History Section, student sub-units, and Ohio Chapter. Throughout all levels of your career, you have a continue to serve the Society and members in the highest regard.

Additionally, the Ohio Chapter of the American Fisheries Society (OCAFS) was honored with the 2025 Best Communication Award. The board of OCAFS features many current and past AELers including Kylee Wilson (Value of Membership and Social Media Chair), Andrew Foley (Webmaster), Steven Gratz (Past-President), and Stuart Ludsin (President-Elect). This award recognizes the North Central Division chapter that has developed the most efficient, useful, and attractive newsletter and website for member information and dissemination.
