We congratulate Alex Cabanelas Bermudez on completing her exit seminar last week! Her project used hydroacoustic monitoring to explore commercial and sport catch of yellow perch in the context of hypoxia.

Her talk was titled, Yellow Perch Distributions and Feeding Ecology in Response to Hypoxia in Lake Erie's Central Basin.

Alex completed most of her master's program in December 2022, and in January 2023 she moved on to a joint PhD program at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution.
