USGS Great Lakes Science Center team has deployed the Saildrone Explorer into Lake Erie through September. This uncrewed surface vehicle along with a long-range autonomous underwater vehicle to be deployed in September, will collect data on a variety of parameters, including a few that will be used by AEL researchers. Stu Ludsin is hoping to benefit from data on harmful algal blooms, while Kylee Wilson will benefit from fisheries acoustic surveys conducted by this vehicle.
