Alex Kua received Grants-in-Aid of Research funding from Sigma Xi for 2015-2016. This funding will support his Honor’s thesis research, which is exploring the impact of climate change and hypoxia on the behavior of a Lake Tanganyika cichlid.
Katie Clemons successfully defended her senior Honors thesis, which was entitled “Effects of increased temperature and hypoxia on egg characteristics of Julidochromis ornatus”.
On April 22 - 24, the AEL hosted a Hierarchical Modeling workshop, facilitated by Ty Wagner (Penn State University/USGS) and Steve Midway (Penn State University/Coastal Carolina University).

Tyler Arnold recently accepted a position with YSI (Yellow Springs, MD) as a Technical Support Specialist. Tyler has been a valuable technican with the AEL for many years. His hard work and enthusiasm will be missed!
