Last week our very own PhD student Rebecca Dillon participated in sampling Lake Erie as part of the Cooperative Science and Monitoring Initiative. This bi-national research team aims to evaluate Lake Erie's food web in areas of the lake both inside and outside of algal blooms. Two vessels sampled day and night to collect all aspects of Lake Erie's food web including fish, zooplankton, and phytoplankton.
