First Annual AEL Chili Cook-off!
AELers gathered together last weekend for the first annual AEL Chili Cook-off!
Hosted by faculty members Casey Pennock and Lindsey Bruckerhoff, there were three categories of competition: traditional, vegetarian, and alternative. The AEL was an "alternative" bunch this year, with only one entry in the traditional category, two in the vegetarian category, and four in the alternative category. A few folks brought desserts or sides rather than chili, and everyone enjoyed more than enough to eat before taking in the OSU football game.
Winners were:
1. Traditional: Casey Pennock with venison, red bean and dried chile blend
2. Vegetarian: Madeline Schumacher with a tofu white bean chili
3. Alternative (and overall winner): Jacob Bentley with a squirrel meat Brunswick stew
