EEOB Alum visits for Otolith Training

Last week, EEOB alumnus Isaac Logicki visited the AEL from his home institution, Millersville University.

He and two of his undergraduate researchers came to learn how to remove and process fish otoliths for aging. AEL graduate student Kylee Wilson helped the Millersville team extract the otoliths from their fish, and former AEL tech (current EEOB graduate student) Kaitlin Ulin provided robust demonstrations and guidance on mounting, polishing, and imaging the otoliths.

We all benefitted from this opportunity to learn and connect!
