Dr. Culver gave a talk for the OSU Marine Biology Club "Under the Sea" on Tuesday October 15.  He spoke about the occurrence harmful algal blooms (HABs) in lakes and their analog, red tides, in the Gulf of Mexico.  He also detailed the relationship between agricultural runoff, HABs, and dead zones, and discussed the toxins produced by HABs and red tides. Finally Dr. Culver helped to guide the students in how to go about applying to graduate school. The group was very interested and asked a lot of questions about toxins and the process of going to graduate school.

We are grateful that Dr. Culver continues to contribute the education of budding scientists!
