AELers attend USGS Tagging Workshop

Last month, AELers James Dowling, Sawyer Olson, and Demetra Williams travelled to the USGS Columbia Environmental Research Center (CERC) in Missouri to attend a fish surgery and tagging workshop. They practiced surgical incisions, tag insertion, and stiches on some live fish, including grass carp, largemouth buffalo, and smallmouth buffalo. They are now trained and ready to implement this technique in their own research projects this spring field season!
