Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Project Title: Understanding interactions between Blue Catfish and Channel Catfish in Ohio reservoirs

Project Overview: My project seeks to understand how stocked populations of Blue Catfish fit in to and impact reservoir food webs. I am particularly interested in how foraging ecology and resource use of other important sport fishes such as Channel Catfish, Largemouth Bass, and Saugeye might overlap with that of Blue Catfish. My project will help determine the capability of reservoirs to simultaneously support fisheries for Blue Catfish and other top predators.
